Pyschopomps

Pyschopomps are kin who believe they deal with spirits, death, etc. Sometimes called reaperkin or deathkin. The man in the boat on the river styx, reapers, shinigami, etc all all under the psychopomp label. Basically spirits/entities who deal with souls/spirits.

Here is the official definition of it: A psychopomp is a guide, whose primary function is to escort souls to the afterlife, but they can also serve as guides through the various transitions of life. The term originates from the Greek words pompos (conductor or guide) and psyche (breath, life, soul, or mind).

There isnt terribly much information on them outside of tumblr and alot of that tends to be gorey or trolling happening so hopefully this will help folks learn abit about them and maybe even get some to talk out more about their kintype!

Most as i said feel they are something that in the past(past life) were a entity who dealt with the souls/spirits of the dead. Many feel they still do but are in a human body for whatever reason. Most still also feel they have their spirit weapon with them. Spirit/soul weapons are pretty common for reapers and whatnot to have. The ferryman had his stick, reapers scythes, shinigami swords, etc. It varies but the weapon is an integeral part of the psychopomp.

They tend to be darker and more rigid in how they see the world and deal with things. Some even following the same rules they followed before a body for instance. They range from all types of people and do tend to take themselves seriously.
